P.M. ‘A’ Service

 

This inspection is performed every 100-150 hours of operation and includes the following:

 

·         Check all electrical components and clean contacts.

·         Lubricate the chassis and mast assembly.

·         Check wheel lug nuts where applicable.

·         Visually inspect battery, cables and connectors.

·         Check all fluid levels.

·         Visual inspection and basic function tests of the various components, systems and attachments are performed.

·         A written recommendation is made for any repairs required.

·         Approximate time: 1.25 hours

 

 

P.M. ‘B’ Service

            

This inspection is performed every second or third service interval and includes the following:

 

·         All of the above PM  ‘A‘ operations.

·         The battery cell condition and cell levels are thoroughly inspected and tested. Electrolyte levels adjusted as required.

·         Visual, operational and physical inspections of the other major components and systems are performed. Fluid levels adjusted as required.

·         A written recommendation is made for any repairs required.

·         Approximate time: 2 hours

 

 

P.M. ‘C’ Service

 

This inspection is performed every 1200 to 2000 hours of operation or at least once per year and includes the following:

 

·         All of the above PM ‘A‘ and ‘B‘ operations.

·         Replace other fluids and hydraulic oil filters.

·         Repack the wheel bearings.

·         The braking, steering, hydraulic, electrical, battery and charging systems are serviced and parts are replaced as required.

·         A detailed evaluation of the overall condition of the forklift, including the lifting device (mast and components) is provided.

·         Inspection and recalibration of the charger is scheduled and performed by a qualified technician.

·         A written recommendation is made and authority obtained (based on your internal procedures) for any repairs required.

·         Approximate time: 8 hours – Liftway shop

 

 

INSPECTION OF LIFTING DEVICES

 

Inspection is required by the Department of Labour and must be performed at least once every 12 months.

 

·     Upon successful completion of the inspection and any necessary repairs, Liftway will provide a completed and signed ‘Certificate of Inspection’ for your files and a dated certificate will also be affixed to the upright.

·     This inspection can be done independently of other services but is more cost effective when performed in conjunction with the PM ‘C’ service.

·     Time approximate: 1.5 hours
